5 DAYS/ 4 NIGHTS (YANGON-GOLDEN ROCK TOUR)
Day.01 : Yangon
Arrive at Yangon Airport by flight. Welcome by a tour
guide and transfer to Hotel.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight
in Yangon.
Day.02 : Yangon
Breakfast at the Hotel.
Yangon fullday sightseeing to
SHWEDAGON PAGODA world famous golden stupa. The golden dome rises 98
meters above its base and is covered with 60tons of pure gold. CHAUK
HTATKYI PAGODA, a colossal reclining Buddha. Proceed to BOGYOKE (SCOTT)
market, with time to browse among the hundreds of stalls for souvenir
bargain and SULE PAGODA, a beautiful octagonal golden stupa, dating back
over 2,000 years.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Continue sightseeing
such as MAHAPASANA CAVE , where sixth Buddhist synod took place; KABA AYE
PAGODA (WORLD PEACE) PAGODA; Glass Factory, BOTATAUNG PAGODA and NANTHIDA
JETTY to see life on the Yangon river.
Dinner at local restaurant and
overnight in Yangon.
Day.03: Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo
Breakfast at the Hotel.
After breakfast, a long
excursion by road, 190km east of Yangon, to KYAIKHTIYO.
Lunch at local
restaurant.
After lunch, to see the GOLDEN ROCK, a hue boulder
completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a
cliff. Atop the boulder is a gilded pagoda, said to hold a hair of Buddha.
Pilgrims walk the twisting 10km. Footpath through bamboo forests, but
tourists can travel to the rock by small open trucks, taking one
hour.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Kyaikhtiyo.
Day.04 : Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Yangon
Breakfast at the Hotel.
After breakfast, continue by
road 110km to BAGO. An ancient capital dating back to the 6th century
sightseeing includes the SHWEMAWDAW PAGODA. Over thousand years old, its
even taller than SHWEDAGON PAGODA.
Lunch at local restaurant.
After
excursion, return to Yangon.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight
in Yangon.
Day.05 : Yangon
Breakfast at the Hotel.
Leave for airport to take the
departure flight.
