Discovering the pre-historic culture from Stone Age
to Bronze Age
Myanmar has full of Archeological sites in various part of the country,
Pyadalin Cave ( Stone age )is one of the 11,000 years old cave in the
world. Limestone reflects the light of mercury particularly the spectacular
stalactites and stalagmites. Mural paintings on the cave wall are reflecting
their way of life at that Age of contemporary to prehistoric paintings
in Northern France, Spain, Indonesia and Malaysia. Nyaung-gan, as reflecting
the Bronze Age is the lost link between the stone and iron age, was
excavated in five sites and found burial mounds of our ancestors, skeletal
remains, various sizes and shapes of pots, stone rings, beads, socked
bronze axes are all extraordinary prehistoric culture as the missing
link between stone age and iron age, is the first discovery in Myanmar.
Sri-kestra, an ancient city of Pyu era, existed during the period of
A .D 300 to A.D 1000,and is 700 years earlier before the existence of
Bagan. And Bisnu, the excavation site, in Taungdwingyi, is the city
of Queen Pantwa is also influenced with Buddhist culture and civilization
are the links between Mrauk-U and Bagan Dynesty. A lots of Pyu temples
can be found around Sri Kestra site and indicates architectural designs
of the olden days inherited the arts from Pyus. The tombs of Queen Pantwa
and King Beikthano can be seen in Srikhistra excavation sites. Many
earth wares, silver wares and gold wares are found in those excavation
sites. Traveling through the archeological sites are just like a visit
from one age to another and the views along the way are of exquisite.

ARCHEOLOGICAL STUDIES INTO STONE AGE AND BRONZE AGE
(12 DAYS/11 NIGHTS)
Yangon-Pye-Bagan-Mandalay-Yangon
DAY 01: ARRIVAL YANGON
Arrive at the Yangon airport and transfer to hotel. Dinner and O/N
in Yangon.
DAY 02: YANGON - PYE
After breakfast, early drive to Pye by car about 8
hrs. After lunch proceed to Sri-Khistra, Archaeological sites to studies
the remains of the ancient city and Pyu civilization flourished between
1st and 10th Century AD. O/N in Pye.
DAY 03: PYE - BAGAN
After breakfast drive to Taungdwingyi and proceed to
Bishnu archeological sites to study the remains of the excavated city.
Lunch on the way and proceed to Bagan. O/N in Bagan.
DAY 04: BAGAN
Sightseeing in Bagan. Evening dinner with traditional
culture show. O/N in Bagan.
DAY 05: BAGAN - MT.POPA
Excursion to Mt Popa and lunch at Mt Popa and after
lunch,
Proceed to Mandalay and arrive in the evening.
DAY 06: PYADALIN CAVE
After breakfast early drive to Pyadalin Cave, 1hr trekking
plus 1hr boat ride. O/N in Pyadalin.
DAY 07: NYAUNGAN - MONYWA
Early drive to Nyaungan for study of Bronze age excavation
sites, after lunch proceed to Twin-Taung for its famous spirulina weeds
in Butalin township. O/N in Monywa.
DAY 08: MONYWA - MANDALAY
Excursion to Phowin-Taung and Shweba-Taung for its
natural cave curved out into huge rooms centuries ago, with sitting
Buddha Images in it and drive back to Mandalay.
DAY 09: MANDALAY
Sightseeing in Mandalay. Start to Mahamuni pagoda,
Kuthodaw, 729 marble slabs with Buddhist scriptures. Shwenandaw monastery
for its fine curvings. Lunch at Myanmar traditional restaurant. Proceed
to Mandalay hill for its panoramic view. Dinner and puppet show in the
night. Dinner and puppet show in the evening.
DAY 10: Mandalay to Yangon by flight.
DAY 11: YANGON
Sightseeing in Yangon. Shwedagon,Chaukhtatkti ( reclining
Buddha Image), Sule and Botataung Pagodas. Dinner and O/N in Yangon.
DAY 12: DEPARTURE DAY
Morning time shopping and afternoon transfer to airport
for international flight departure.
