ANGON – KYAIKTIYO - YANGON (4Days/3Nights)

Arrival at Yangon Airport. Warmly welcome by our company guide and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon tour through Yangon's colonial-style city center. Visit Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2000 years ago; the magnificent reclining Buddha at Chaukhtat Gyi; and after a photo stop at the Karaweik Hall(floating barge on Kandawgyi royal lake), and after shopping at the Bogyoke Market(Scotts) market with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores, evening visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments “ Shwe Dagon Pagoda”. Dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, a drive to Bago(84 km – 1 ½ hours). Sightseeing starts Kya Khet Wain monastery, an eminent teaching center for hundreds of monks from neighboring regions to study Buddhism. The tour continues to the over a thousand years old Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda with its spire taller than the Shwe Dagon Pagoda. Proceed to Kin. Pun base camp (110 km – 3 ½ hours), lunch at local restaurant The tour will continue to one of  Myanmar’s landmarks, which is famous for its precarious position and religious importance : Kyaiktiyo, "the Golden Rock" a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. To reach the pagoda from Kin Pun a steep 11 km road lead to upper staging point .The journey is made in open trucks, which are very crowded. The upper area must be traveled by foot at present, and the walk is approximately 4 km up a steep path which ascends some 500 m to the Golden Rock. If you wish to take a more comfortable approach, you can sit back and be carried in sedan chairs by four porters. This will incur an extra cost of approx . US$ 10 p.p. On arrival you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. Dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

KYAIKTIYO-BAGO-YANGON   (B,L,D)           

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Glass factory to watch the production of mouth-blown glass in the old-fashioned way. Lunch at local restaurant. Leisure time until departure. Transfer  to Yangon Int'l Airport. Departure by flight.
