YANGON-MANDALAY-MONYWA-PYIN OO LWIN-BAGAN-INLE-KALAW-KYAIKTIYO-YANGON

DAY 01 YANGON ARRIVAL   (-,L,D)

Arrival at Yangon Airport. Warmly welcome by our company guide and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon tour through Yangon's colonial-style city center. Visit Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2000 years ago; the magnificent reclining Buddha at Chaukhtat Gyi ; and after a photo stop at the Karaweik Hall(floating barge on Kandawgyi royal lake) ,and after shopping at the Bogyoke Market(Scotts) market with hundreds of food , clothes, handicrafts and gems stores, evening visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments “ Shwe Dagon Pagoda”. Dinner. Overnight at Hotel

DAY 02 YANGON-MANDALAY (By Train)   (B,L,D)

After breakfast visit the hidden Yangon Glass Factory to watch the production of mouth-blown glass in the old –fashioned way and proceed to Kabar Aye Pagoda (World Peace pagoda) and Mahapasana Cave (where the sixth Buddhist synod took place). After lunch transfer to railway station. Departure for Mandalay by Train (Old style Train) 695 km from Yangon and takes about 16 hours, overnight on train.

DAY 03 MANDALAY- AMARAPURA-SAGAING-MONYWA    (B,L,D)                 

Arrive Mandalay and Proceed to Amarapura 15 km from Mandalay to visit Mahagandaryone Monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study. You will have the opporturnity to observe the monks having their last meal of the day in total silence. Continue to 200-year-old U Bein teak bridge , built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was Royal capital. Lunch at local restaurant, continue to Sagaing and visit Kaung Mu Daw pagoda and Sagaing Hill. Proceed to Monywa (150 km –4 hours drive from Mandalay). Arrive Monywa. Dinner at local restaurant.  Overnight stay at Monywa Hotel.

DAY 04

MONYWA     (B,L,D)                                                                                    

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to Jetty and cross the Chindwin river by ferry boat and proceed by pick-up or Jeep(40 km- 1 hours) to Phowin Taung, a seldom visit complex of cave temples and shrines, some dating back to 15 th century and containing about 450,000 images and some very fine mural paintings. Boddhitataung Pagoda; for its thousand Buddha Statues & Bodhi Trees. Return to Monywa and lunch at local restaurant. Evening visit Kyauk Kha Village; famous for Lacquer ware industry. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 05 MONYWA-MANDALAY(B,L,D)    

Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Mandalay. Lunch at local restaurant. On the way visit former Royal capital (INWA) AVA, reached by shot boat trip. Visit by horse- drawn carriage to Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remains of the place building nicknamed " leaning tower Ava" Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, built of brick and stucco, Bagayar Monastery, famous for its impressive ornate woodcarvings and teak posts. Continue to Mandalay. Arrive and check hotel. Dinner at local restaurant.

DAY 06  MANDALAY-MINGUN-MANDALAY (B,L,D)                                                                

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to jetty, cruise to Mingun by boat. Visit Mingun Bell; the world largest ringing bell, unfinished Pagoda, Myatheindan Zedi,home for aged. After sightseeing return back to Mandalay. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch visit Mandalay Royal Palace, Shwenandaw Kyaung (Golden Monastery), Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the  world  biggest book, Kyauktawgyi marble image and sunset at Mandalay hill. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 07

MANDALAY –PYIN OO LWIN (B,L,D)

After breakfast. Morning drive (80 km – 2 hour) will take you to the former British hill station of Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo), a delightful small town of colonial-style buildings, markets, and a botanical garden. Stop at the famous Candacraig  Hotel, an old British mansion built in 1906, for sunset drinks, before retiring to your hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 08

PYIN OO LWIN –MANDALAY       (B,L,D)

After breakfast, proceed to the local market by horse-drawn carriage (if available). Visit the sights in town and then venture out to visit the Peik Khyin Myaung Caves, caves almost as old as the land itself and proceed to Pwe Kyauk Falls, a favorite picnic spot for local people. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to Mandalay. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 09

MANDALAY-BAGAN   (B,L,D)                                                      

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast early morning transfer to Jetty and depart for Bagan by boat. Arrive Bagan. Farming villages around Bagan will give you insight into the lives of the local people. A colorfully decorated ox-cart (if available) is waiting to show you more of Bagan's ancient temples in the traditional way of transportation used by people in Myanmar's countryside. Dinner and puppet show at local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 10

BAGAN          (B,L,D) 

Breakfast at hotel . Visit Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon Pagoda, Kyansittha U Min, Gubyaukgyi (Wet -kyi-in ) &  Htilo Minlo Temple Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch visit Bagan Museum. Ananda Temple & Oakkyaung, Damayangyi Temple Sulamani Temple, Thatbyinnyu Temple. Evening  visit Tayokepyay Temple in Min Nan Thu Village. Phayathone  Zu and Nandamanya Temples noted for exquisite murals of 13th century, Kyat Kan Cave monastery, a famous meditation retreat in Bagan. Evening  excursion by boat on the Ayeyarwaddy River to watch the sunset over the plain of Bagan. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 11 BAGAN-POPA-BAGAN (B,L,D)                                                                 

Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to Mt. Popa; (an extinct volcano) known as home of Spirits. Drive and climb up the hill. Enjoy panoramic view at the top of the hill. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch drive back to Bagan, visit Shwesandaw Pagoda, Gubyaukgyi Pagoda (Myinkaba) Mya Zedi, East  &  West Petleik Pagoda, Lawkananda Pagoda.Excursion to Lacquer ware home industry, Nagayone Temple, Abeyadana Temple, Nan Paya Temple, Manuha Temple and sunset  at Mingalar Zedi.  Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 12

 BAGAN -HEHO-PINDAYA     (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to airport . Departure for heho by flight. Arrive heho and proceed to Pindaya( 65km 1 ½ hours drive). Arrive Pindaya. Visit Pindaya stalactite and stalagmite caves in which countless Buddha images of different types and times exist. After that, trekking through the Pindaya mountain range to see the hill tribes, Danu, Pa-O and Palaung, their villages, their daily activities and their cultivation in the farm and tea plantation on the slope of the hill and the process of dry tea making from village of the mountain top, one can enjoy magnificent view over surroundings and return to hotel in the afternoon.Evening visit downtown to observe traditional hand – made paper and umbrella making workshops. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 13

PINDAYA  - INLE LAKE (B, L, D)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to Inle Lake (92 km, 2 hours drive) from Pindaya, sightseeing to famous for its unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty. Lunch at local restaurant. Tour highlights include Phaung daw Oo Pagoda, wonderful floating garden, floating market, native method of fishing, traditional hand-loom at Inpawkhon village. Return to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 14

PINDAYA  - INLE LAKE      (B, L, D)                                  

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to Inle Lake (92 km, 2 hours drive) from Pindaya, sightseeing to famous for its unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty. Lunch at local restaurant. Tour highlights include Phaung daw Oo Pagoda, wonderful floating garden, floating market, native method of fishing, traditional hand-loom at Inpawkhon village. Return to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 15 KALAW-HEHO-YANGON    (B,L,D)                                                        
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit Kalaw colourful market. Transfer to airport Departure for Yangon by flight. Arrive Yangon and leisure. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 16 YANGON-BAGO-KYAIKTIYO (B, L, D)

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, a drive to Bago(84 km – 1 ½ hours). Sightseeing starts  Kya Khet  Wain monastery, an eminent teaching center for hundreds of monks from neighboring regions to study Buddhism. The tour continues to the over a thousand years old Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda with its spire taller than the Shwe Dagon Pagoda. Proceed to Kin. Pun base camp (110 km – 3 ½ hours), lunch at local restaurant. The tour will continue to one of Myanmar’s landmarks, which is famous for its precarious position and religious importance; Kyaiktiyo “the Golden Rock” a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. To reach the pagoda from Kin Pun a steep 11 km road lead to upper staging point. The journey is made in open trucks, which are very crowded. The upper area must be traveled by foot at present, and the walk is approximately 4 km up a steep path which ascends some 500 m to the Golden Rock. If you wish to take a more comfortable approach, you can sit back and be carried in sedan chairs by four porters. This will incur an extra cost of approx . US$ 10 p.p . On arrival you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

DAY 17 KYAIKTIYO-BAGO-YANGON       (B, L, D)

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast return to Yangon (194 km –5 hours). Lunch at a local restaurant in Bago, continue sightseeing with the 55-meter long reclining Shwe Tha Lyaung Buddha, which is among the country’s most impressive image. Return to Yangon in the mid-afternoon and visit Htauk Kyant (Allied War Graves). Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 18 YANGON-THALYIN    (B,L,D)                                                                   

Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Thanlyin (Syriam): Port city of ancient Mon dynasty.       Visit Kyaik Khauk  Pagoda, Kyauk Tan Yale Pagoda. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch drive back to Yangon. Evening sightseeing include Botataung Pagoda, Nanthida Jetty and China Town. Overnight stay at the hotel

DAY 19 YANGON-TWENTE  (B,L,D )                                                                              
Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to Twente cross the Yangon river by boat (15 minute) and drive    24 km east of Yangon to Twente. Experience the rural way of life and visit a traditional pottery workshop, where the methods have remained the same since generations. Proceed to Shwe Sandaw Pagoda, return to Yangon by road through idyllic village rice paddies and river landscapes. Return to Yangon. Lunch at local restaurant. Free time. Overnight stay at hotel.   
DAY 20 YANGON-DEPARTURE (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel. Visit Glass factory to watch the production of mouth-blown glass in the old-fashioned way. Visit  Kabar Aye (World Peace Pagoda) and Mahapasana Cave, where the sixth Buddhist synod took place. Leisure time until departure. Transfer to Yangon Int'l Airport. Departure by flight.
